I had a feeling they were up to something like this as soon as I heard about this "e-sim" business...

    https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/...to-lock-esims/

As a matter of fact, I think all carriers throw up barriers for ANY unlocked device, whether it's one from another carrier, or one you buy unlocked. Every single device I've owned (Nexus, Moto, Oneplus, and a carrier unlocked S6) have been inferior to locked devices on both AT&T and TMobile networks. Everything from reception to blocking of 4g over LTE to throttling. All stuff I could never prove, but I know it happened.

That's one big reason I always try to go with a device from the carrier I'm with.

Still fun to fight the man.
    I use DuckDuckGo vs Google
and FireFox and not Explorer or Chrome. I think I used Netscape for the longest time too.
And maybe I turn to UBuntu when MS stops supporting Windows 7.

But if the dang thing (or software) works and the substitute doesn't, I use it.

Depending on who is funding the study, it's hard to know what to believe, but there are some alarming articles out there regarding this technology.

I was thinking about this topic, and decided to look through my settings to see if there was a way to disable 5g. Theoretically it should work...

Not an opposite view about the 5G dangers but to add to it.
We have several things bombarding us we can't see and the studies seem to indicate they don't affect us all the same.
But if you are one of those affected they can be serious.

Wifi is one and for some the answer is turning it off on a timer at night. Can't do much in the workplace though.
Your phone before 5G, some have it next to their head or under their pillow at night, six feet away or more is better.
Poorly grounded or not grounded at all electric in your building or house.
Living too close to High Voltage Power distribution.

And just to add one that you can't see but use and touch every day if you are on city water. The chlorine for some is a big health issue.
The chlorine on the skin is the big one for some and hard to diagnose because its not the first thing doctors check.
I have had the good bacteria in my stomach wiped out a few times and the indication was that it was chlorine. I use a chlorine removal filter now.

No I don't wear a tinfoil hat at least not not one I'm willing to show anyone.

Motors, radio broadcast, TV broadcast (not cable) and bluetooth.
Dang we got stuff. If you are one of those affected its not funny.
Might as well add mold too.

Hey full disclosure, I know I mix up affected and effected.
