I've never used the OK Google feature on any device.. I'm so out of the loop

I'll have to look into what I'd use it for.

I thought I'd never use it but once you get a few commands under your belt it is really nice to not even touch or look at your phone to do something. It is the height of laziness.... lol

Does anyone know why Samsung uses Snapdragon processors in their U.S. phones instead of the Exynos processors? I've been reading about some really cool upgrades in the new Exynos live, but we will never see them....

On a side note, I am considering using TMobile's Jump program for our phone upgrades rather than buying outright and selling. I did a rough estimate of what it would cost over a 10 year time period, and it was not that much different than buying and selling (although both were expensive lol). Has anyone done a similar program? It's roughly 12 bucks a month. I signed up for it for the insurance when we bought our Note 8's.

    New Phone For The Wife

So the (Adult) kids bought the wife a new phone. Just a small step up.
She hates computers, email and TV clickers.
I bought her a Galaxy S3, never came out of the box. This was about a year after they came out. Finally years later my daughter used it when hers broke.

So high tech moma moved up to a LGEnV about that time, one flip phone to a little more complex w/no data. So fast forward a 100 years and guess what she gets.

A Pixel 2 XL, just a small leap in technology.
Daughter showed her Gifs, and now she is the Gif Queen.
    We are all in trouble.

If I recall correctly it's because Exynos processors aren't compatible with CDMA/Qualcomm radios, which are still widely used here in the US. So instead of making two different versions for the US, they continue to use a snapdragon processor for the whole country and call it a day. This probably won't change for awhile... unfortunately.

Anyone looking at the S9 right now? From what I've read Samsung is sticking to the basics, but adding some nice upgrades like camera, processer, and possibly ram.

Hey Condor, I was looking at the comments on XDA.
It seems they are having problems with dropping calls.
Some have also noted pretty bad static in the call.
That's a bummer because that phone looks to have the newer TMO bands in it. I'm watching to see if it's something they can patch, or if it's hardware.
The new camera looks like a work in progress also.
If they can fix it, that would be nice. That newer modem in the phone looks good.
