The S3 was a ground breaking phone. It was way ahead of it's time. Still hangs. Lol

I think the S8 is gonna be big. They definitely upped their game.

I've stayed away from reading too much about the S8. I'm still happy with my N6 and probably better off not knowing what I'm missing. I do look forward to living vicariously through all of you who upgrade.

As per Samsung's SOPs, it isn't much of an upgrade from the S7. It's does look sweet though!

But it looks so... Pretty! Lol!

I have been half tempted to sell 6P to get it. But I am unsure right now. I do love the 6p.

Anyone get the S8 yet? I've heard it's pretty sweet.

Buddy of mine got the S8+. It's pretty sweet. Makes me excited to see what the Note 8 brings to the table. Battery life is rather phenomenal.

I wish I could say I like the curved edge bezelless design Samsung has exclusively migrated towards. But I can't. I actually want a flat screen and a small bezel. I know my hair is turning a little more gray each year so I suppose I'm turning into a crotchety old man now. lol

It's not a phone... but a few weeks ago I bought an Acer Chromebook R11 with some Christmas money I had been saving. It's been perfect for my needs. I use it mainly for writing blog posts from my recliner, social media, and web surfing. It's faster, lighter, and cooler temperature-wise than the 2009 Macbook I had been using. I really like how lightweight it is and the fact it can run Android apps if I want. Best Buy price matched Amazon and it came with 100GB of Google Drive storage for 2 years.

Last year I bought a new laptop and I regret not just getting a Chromebook... I needed something for exactly as you describe... I gotta get with the times!

Leonard (aka PC747 on the Droid Forums) has a Chromebook and it's realty limited in what you can do with it. I mean if all you need it for is for social media, watching YouTube & the like it's great. If you need it for any type of light video editing, skyping/video conferencing, games etc...not so much. But for everything else it's a great device.
