Question What's it like in your area?

I'm in North Dakota and it is currently 8* with a windchill of 0*. And it's going to get colder as the weekend goes on. Whats it like in your state?

In Chicago, the forecast was for 3"-6" of snow and gusty winds. So far, only 1/2"-1", but the wind is nasty... 40-50mph gusts. The storm is pretty much over, but the winds are still high.

Currently 12 degrees / 5 is the wind chill here in Idaho. I have my bedroom Window cracked slightly to keep it cool in there. This way i can use my 3 comforters to keep me warm.
    Oh yeah!

Ok, now the weather from the other side of the pond...

In South West France (Bordeaux), it is semi-sunny, and 12 (Centigrade of course).
Although I'mm not going to enjoy it, as I am flying to England for Christmas... weather update from London later

On The North Coast, Cleveland is in the midst of transitioning from rain to snow as that huge winter storm moved in.The actual storm itself will only dump maybe 4 or 5 inches of snow as it heads East. The problem is what the refer to as "Lake Effect Snow" which you get when a mass of cold air moves across the relatively warm waters of Lake Erie and picks up lots of moisture. Moisture it the deposits on the shore of Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York in the form of snow.

If the winds are out of the northwest and are sustained for several days, it doesn't matter how strong they are. Their northwest to southeast direction will carry the moisture off the lake and on to shore, and we could have a mess on our hands. Such is Winter on the North Coast of the US.
