    Recipes - Share your favorites

I love to cook and am always looking for new recipes. From what I've seen in this thread Mmmmmmm there are a bunch of really good cooks here. So if you have a favorite recipe share it here. This could get really interesting since we have members from all over the world. Since I have this in the oven at the moment, I'll start:

    Tuna Noodle Casserole

1 - 13.25 oz. box of pasta cooked al dente and drained
2 - 5 oz. cans of tuna, drained
1 - 26 oz. can of cream of mushroom soup
    1/2 cup sour cream
    1/2 cup mayonnaise
    1/4 cup milk
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. dillweed
    Crushed potato chips

Stir together the first 8 ingredients and put in a casserole dish. Top with crushed potato chips and bake in at 350 degree oven for 30 minutes.

I do A TON of cooking.... My problem is I really don't have a set recipe when I cook and 85% of my meals are wild game and the recipe changes even with the same species depending on when and where it was shot...... I know sounds odd but those here who hunt and process all their own animals will know what I mean (HOPEFULLY)........

I do have a GREAT recipe for a Sweet summertime cole slaw I will dig out and put up...

I cook alot as well, so this should turn out to be a great thread.
We're having our annual chili cookoff at work in a couple weeks, so I'll have to post my recipe that won 2nd place last year.

I love a good cole slaw and don't have a go to recipe for it so I look forward to yours Miller. And funny you should mention chili, CR6. That was the next recipe that I was going to post when I made it again. It will be interesting to compare chili recipes. Congrats on 2nd place. Are you tweaking your recipe to go after 1st place this year?

Both recipes look delicious Miller. The coleslaw/broccoli slaw combo sounds interesting. I'm going to try it out the next time I fire up my smoker. BBQ and slaw go great together. Thanks for sharing.

Not a problem... Like I said its more of a sweeter summer time slaw.... I LOVE cole slaw with a little bite to it (horse radish) but this is nice to change it up a little....... Just make sure to stir and stir and stir the sauce some more the oil and vinegar tend to want to keep separating if it sits to long.......

There's no way I'll win 1st place. The guy that wins year in and year out, raises his own cattle and uses the beef from it in his recipe. It's crazy good, so i was happy to take 2nd place last year. lol I'll sure try though.
They take this contest very serious...Everyones chili is assigned a number and we have at least 5 outside judges come in (a mix of vendors and customers) and they never know who chili they're tasting until they've all been judged.
I put a bottle of beer in my chili so i might have to switch it up and add a more flavorful stout this time.

This looks like a fun thread! (We may need a separate one for chili recipes, though...)

Here's one of my faves (it's from Cooking Light magazine). I always have the ingredients in the house, so it's an easy choice for weeknight dinners -- but it tastes special.

Sautéed Turkey Cutlets with Orange-Cranberry Pan Sauce

The sauce also goes great with chicken breasts. Serve with a wild rice mix.

    Yield:
4 servings (serving size: 2 cutlets and about 2 1/2 tablespoons sauce)

    Ingredients:
    1 tablespoon butter
    1 tablespoon vegetable oil
    8 (2-ounce) turkey cutlets
    1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
    1/4 cup all-purpose flour
    1 cup fresh orange juice
    2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
    1/3 cup dried cranberries

    Preparation:

Melt butter and oil in a large nonstick skillet over low heat.

While butter melts, sprinkle cutlets with salt and pepper. Place flour in a shallow dish. Dredge cutlets in flour; shake off excess flour.

Increase heat to medium-high; heat 2 minutes or until butter turns golden brown. Add cutlets to pan; cook 2 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Remove cutlets from pan; keep warm. Add juice, mustard, and cranberries to pan, scraping to loosen browned bits. Bring to a boil; cook until reduced to 2/3 cup (about 5 minutes). Serve sauce over cutlets.
