Just saw a movie tonight, and thought this would be a cool idea for a thread. No rules really. Just want to see the community share their thoughts on a recent movie they saw whether it was in theater or home viewing.
Now lets start it up.
I just got back a few hours ago from watching Sinister. Went into this one cold not knowing anything about the movie and seeing no commercials. The only thing I saw about this flick was the movie poster.
Saw it alone, and I have to say it was pretty scary. I love horror flicks, and no I'm not talking about those gory types. I like those legitimate movies that mess more with you on a psychological level as opposed to visual blood and guts. That stuff ain't scary. Something that messes with my mind and possibly make me wonder about how "real" a story can be truly intrigues me as a movie.
I was genuinely scared. Been a long time since I felt that tense watching a movie. Far better than The Possession, which I saw at an advanced screening in Times Square. The drive home was pretty fun as I was still feeling tense. And then parking the car in the garage, and staring behind me was just quiet wooded area. Further intensified my walking and pacing back into the house.
That's what I thought. And felt afterwards. I purposely left out pretty much the entire movie and the plot as to not spoil it for anyone planning to watch this flick.
Anyone else care to share what they last saw and what they thought?
