Last Movie You Saw and Thoughts...

Just saw a movie tonight, and thought this would be a cool idea for a thread. No rules really. Just want to see the community share their thoughts on a recent movie they saw whether it was in theater or home viewing.

    Now lets start it up.

I just got back a few hours ago from watching Sinister. Went into this one cold not knowing anything about the movie and seeing no commercials. The only thing I saw about this flick was the movie poster.

Saw it alone, and I have to say it was pretty scary. I love horror flicks, and no I'm not talking about those gory types. I like those legitimate movies that mess more with you on a psychological level as opposed to visual blood and guts. That stuff ain't scary. Something that messes with my mind and possibly make me wonder about how "real" a story can be truly intrigues me as a movie.

I was genuinely scared. Been a long time since I felt that tense watching a movie. Far better than The Possession, which I saw at an advanced screening in Times Square. The drive home was pretty fun as I was still feeling tense. And then parking the car in the garage, and staring behind me was just quiet wooded area. Further intensified my walking and pacing back into the house.

That's what I thought. And felt afterwards. I purposely left out pretty much the entire movie and the plot as to not spoil it for anyone planning to watch this flick.

Anyone else care to share what they last saw and what they thought?

You saw it by yourself? I'm a fan of horror movies. I do like the psychological ones and love the blood and guts type too. Only one that ever really scared me was the exorcist. Still does scare me. Nightmare on elm Street scared me as a kid but not now.

Last movie I saw was Transylvania with the kids. They liked it. It was alright. Not as good as some of the animated movies.

He said it was sinister. That's the name. I've seen the previews. Actually hate when they show the trailers cause I'm usually watching tv with my girls and then here comes a trailer for that movie and the girls are just staring at the tv. Surprised they haven't started crying!

Thanks CR6. As May said, the movie title is Sinister. Worth a viewing. Graphic and intense. Watched it all by my lonesome!

Don't get me wrong--I like some good blood and guts too, but it is very difficult for me to call that a horror movie most of the time. The great ones always provide a psychological terror.

After missing out on the last 2 Paranormal movies, I may watch this upcoming one cold as well. I am a sucker for footage type movies, especially the found footage type.

Sorry about that...i missed the Sinister part! :banghead:
Love me a good psychological thriller! I like horror movies too, except for the ridiculously gory ones. I loved the first couple Saw movies, then it just got pointless.
Watched Wanderlust a few weeks ago. That movie had me rolling! A lot of foul language be absolutely hilarious!
The original Paranormal Activity was creepy as all get out! Great flick.

I'm more of a comedy guy myself.... The Jerk and Planes, Trains, and Automobiles are about as good as movies can get.... I haven't really seen any new movies lately.... Would like to see The Candidate or the new one being filmed at Google headquarters.... I think that will be funny..... I am a big Vince Vaughn fan...
With the end of the season comes countless hours of longing to be back in the woods with bow in hand and the chase in your heart.

Last movie I watched was "Snow white and the huntsman" I personally didn't like it, I borrowed it from my brother in law so it was free, but, I hated it.

Vincent Vaughn was awesome in Singers and Dodge Ball. If I am not mistaken, he was also in School Ties right? Which is another awesome movie by the way.

They don't make them like they used to.
