Yep. I'd say you hit the nail on the head there.

Pixel 3 in hand and set up:
    - I really like this smaller form factor vs the pixel XL, note, etc.
    - the top/bottom bezels are small enough, though not Samsung small
    - the usb-c earbuds are fine, though I would prefer to use my old ones without needing the adapter
    - the phone is snappy, but I'm not used to pie yet. The nav bar is really different
    - I'm at 2.75 hrs screen on time at 50% battery. Screen is set to 80% brightness and is plenty bright
-overall I'm happy with the phone.

New battery + 1080p screen = 4-6 hrs screen on time at 80% brightness. I'm digging this phone. I will admit, it is nicer to use my pixel XL. The screen ratio is wider and the extra size is certainly easier on the eyes. But, I just went to a school function and sat down without moving my phone to a back pocket or putting it on the table. The smaller form factor is worth feeling cramped for me. Pics in the low lit room turned out fantastic. Pixel stand is pretty cool too. Snagged it on black Friday. Not sure it's worth full MSRP.

Sad to say I don't know. But I am going to take win posting with Dex here.

I haven't used one in awhile but I think it's either "ad away" or "ad free". I think Miller knows of one so hopefully he'll see this post next time he drops by.
