Sorry I missed this earlier. Hard to judge so far. I live in an excellent LTE and 3G area. The Maxx HD was extremely solid. So far the S3 has been solid as well. I'll have a better idea after hitting some of my normal bad spots. But so far I've been more than pleased with the signal. I really don't have a problem if it occasionally drops to 3G as long as it handles the transition and hand off well.

In a store tonight for about 45 minutes, normally a weak area...

S3 performed as good as the Maxx HD in this particular situation. Held 4G a majority of the time. None of my previous phones hold 4G in there.
