Hi! finally upgraded from my old GalS to the S3. couple questions...

    Hi all,

I just started using my S3 yesterday, and so far its been amazing! my last phone was a rooted galaxy s1 that i had for a couple years, which treated me very well and i had a lot of fun with. however ive been living in Seoul, S. Korea for the last few years, and while the cheap hardware and blisteringly fast internet here is all well and good, now that im looking into rooting my new S3, a lot of the discussion and resources regarding hacking, mods, custom ROMs, etc. is geared toward the galaxy S3's supplied by american and uk carriers.

id like to begin rooting my phone and flashing custom roms, however im not sure which tutorials i should follow since my S3 was purchased here in Korea and a lot of the documentation and online resources dont always mention if something that works for a verizon or t-mobile S3, for example, will work on mine. with my S1, i used Odin to root it, and a Korean friend of mine helped me download patches and custom ROMs from a korean site. unfortunately, i no longer have his assistance.

im on an LTE network with my carrier (SK Telecom) here in Seoul. should i simply follow the tutorials in the LTE/CDMA forum on this site? will the custom ROMs posted in there work with my phone as well?

thanks in advance for the help, and for being patient with an S3 n00b

edit: forgot to mention that im on a CDMA network.

You should just type in naver or something "sk 텔레콤 갤럭시 s3 루팅" For rooting. "Sk 텔레콤 갤럭시s3 롬" for roms.

Sorry for not clarifying, but im NOT Korean. Im currently living in Seoul, but im originally from Canada. I dont speak Korean well enough yet to use Naver and Korean sites to attempt to root my new phone.

What im asking is: is there an alternative English site that I can use which will explain how to root a galaxy s3 purchased in Korea?
