Hello, Lombard. I have graduated to the GS4 by now (another "obsolete" phone which serves me perfectly well), but basically, do not feel out of date. You would then fall into the trap
and feel the need to part with large amounts of money for a GSxxx.

Free and offline may be a bit of a tall order, if you want quality, reliable applications. I used to have Tomtom (not free but absolutely perfect offline).

Now, I use Googlemaps, with an occasional burst of "roaming" whenever I am stuck abroad. But I am told that Sygic is the App to have (Sygic: GPS Navigation & Maps is The World’s Most Installed Offline turn-by-turn GPS navigation App for Android). It is not free though.

MAPPY GPS free is... free, as the name states, but there are paying bells and whistles in the app.

So here we are. Have a great trip in my country, and feel free to write (here or PM) if I can be of assistance while you are over here (from down under, I take it?).

Hello everyone. I am looking for help with a problem on my S3.
I used to end apps by holding down the home button and sliding them off. When I try to do that now I get this message "Unfortunately, the process com.android.systemui has stopped"
I went to the shop and was told to do a factory reset. That done, it changed nothing except that I lost certain stuff!
    Any suggestions please?

    Help needed

Hi, I am new to this site. Have a problem with my phone and need some assistance if anyone can help me. I have a Samsung GT-I9305T bought in December 2012. It is shutting down for no reason, battery can be at any charged state when it does this. Has done it overnight when it was charging once. The volume doesn't always work either. It has been dropped a few times but there is no visible damage. Is this the battery going or is the phone dying?
Thanks for any help anyone can give me

Welcome to the forum! It's likely your battery head reached the end of its life. They are simple to replace, just search Amazon for an oem replacement. Good luck!
