sorry had a job...

i feel like the display is using up so much battery. ive only gotten about 4-5 hours of use. yesterday i figured it was because i was customizing. but today its just been terrible! i have the display at about a little less then halfway. same as stock. maybe use it a full blast for about 20 minutes during the day while outside. when it was full blast it was using about 70%! right now its using like 50%! when on stock it was using about 20-30% battery.

i dont know about the kernel. i just used the ez unlock. did my wipes and flashed the rom.

And now I keep getting error logging into the Google servers. But when I logged in online everything was fine.

Also had the black screen of nothing when I pressed the home button. Happened a couple times already tonight.

Also a weird thing I noticed yesterday. Every once in a while the screen flickers really fast. Like on off on off. Its weird. Maybe I need to try something else.

I just read somewhere that a lot of people are having trouble logging into Google servers right now. Not sure what the problem is though.

I had a feeling there was something wrong but I was able to log in on the computer at work dont know. Hopefully it gets fixes soon!

Ok I'm def gonna need something more stable. All of a sudden the phone keeps random rebooting MD when I press the power button nothing happens. Sometimes I have to press it a couple times to get the screen to turn on. Sometimes I have to pull the battery. Seems like its getting worse every hour.

How hard is it to go back to an ICS rom? If all I have to do is wipe data/cache then I'll do it tonight at work.

Format system, cache, and data. Flash rom zip. Just make sure it is for unlocked bootloader. Beans 11 is stable. Latest synergy likely is to just verify that it is for unlocked.

Known bug. Settings > dev options > disable hw overlays (setting won't stick after boot so redo this if you boot)

That's called sleep of death (SOD). It's something that's been getting better with each build. When it happens you must battery pull. I haven't had it happen on faux kernel so if you don't want to leave aokp then try flashing his 1.6 GHz tmobile kernel. You just wipe cache and flash in cwr. Pretty east and worth trying before you leave and go back to ICS.

Random reboots are a fact of life. One every other day isn't a big deal for me. It may be for you.

You have to get a battery monitoring app to quantify what is using what. Ideally, you would want to see display using up 100% of the battery. That would mean no phone processes wasted any juice. Clearly that will never happen but if display % is high to me that means the other functions of the phone are consuming few resources. That's good.

If you are getting overall worse battery life, it may be 3g/lte switching. AOSP roms don't do that as well as TW roms (e.g. beans or synergy). The AOSP devas are working on the RIL and until they figure it out, that will be an area of inferiority.

So if you are routinely in poor signal area, AOSP roms might be a poor choice for the next few months.
