Ban Temporarily Lifted on Samsung Galaxy Nexus in the United States

Here's another story from late Friday. It looks like there is a bit more light at the end of the tunnel for Samsung regarding the United States ban on sales of the Galaxy Nexus. Bloomberg reports that the ban was temporarily lifted by a U.S. Court of Appeals late Friday. The ban will stay lifted until Apple can get some newly requested information to the judge on July 12th of this week.

Luckily, by then it will likely be a non-issue, as this will buy Samsung and Google just enough time to get their "software patch" workaround going on the device. Perhaps that old saying is true, "It's always darkest just before the dawn."

As always, we will keep you informed as more details emerge.

It was such a ridiculous ban anyway... I picked up an ipod touch the other day after months of use of my GNex, and I just laughed. The thought that the GNex is "too much" like an iphone.... It was very clear to me that apparently judges don't use smartphones! lol

Lol, I'm sure you're right! They probably need the keyboards Although they might be missing out on a really cool constitution app or something
