Extended Cut Galaxy S III Commercial Released

Samsung released an extended cut version of the Galaxy S III commercial. You probably won't be seeing this two minute commercial anytime soon on TV, but Samsung was able to put it up on YouTube just fine. Enjoy!

Holy cheese on that first couple... how about kneeling before she walks off - not running, catching her, and sending her a video of you proposing. I'm surprised he didn't use S-Voice to propose. Though that could've gone badly...

Jack: "I love you and I'm going to miss you so much"
Jill: "I love you too, I'll call when I'm there"
*couple parts, Jill turns to walk away*
Jack: "Hi Galaxy..." ... "HI GALAXY"
S-Voice: "What would you like to do?"
Jack: "Text Jill 'Will you marry me?'"
SV: "I'm sorry, I didn't get that, please try again"
*Jill getting farther away, Jack getting anxious*
Jack: "Text Jill"
SV: "Ok, what would you like to say?"
Jack: "Will you marry me?"
SV: ...... ...... ...... (too much background noise causing S-Voice to not automatically move forward)
Jack: *louder* "Will you marry me?"
SV: ...... ...... ......
Jack: *even louder* "WILL YOU MARRY ME?"
SV: ..... ..... *Jack manually hits mic button to move forward*
*Jill about to board*
SV: "Will you marry me? Will you marry me? Will you marry me?" Is that correct?
Jack: not realizing SV tripled up... "Yes"
SV: ...... ..... *Jack hits mic button* "Ok, sending"
*Jill is unfortunately on the plane already and receives the text with the "triple question"*
Jill: "Oh wow! Well, wait... three times? That's kind of odd and sounds kinda desperate. Why would he feel the need to ask three times? Hmm, things were going so well. I mean, I wanted to marry him, but if he's feeling desperate about the whole thing... why's he in such a rush? I'll only be gone a couple of months and we'll be able to talk every day. Is he that dependent on me? Is he more co-dependent than I thought? I'm beginning to feel a bit smothered by the whole thing. I mean, why didn't he S-Beam me the proposal? That would've been much more personal. Is he not comfortable enough with me to S-Beam me? I just don't know any more... maybe this time apart will be good to evaluate the relationship. Hmm... I wonder... sonofa... Maybe he's in a rush because he's got somebody else and feels so insecure in our relationship that he feels the need to "lock it down" now. That SOB will probably cheat on me with that other girl he's got waiting if I don't say yes. Well that's ok JACK... there will be lots of guys over in Italy."



Ok now that I got my cynicism out - good commercial overall. Much better than the kill-em-all-robot Droid ad campain with Verizon's Droid lineup. Even though it's a bit over the top, it at least personalizes it all while showcasing some of the unique/cool features.

I thought the whole thing was rather cheesy, personally. But I suppose it fits in with Sammy's ad strategy for this phone. Then again, I'm in a pretty sardonic mood today ... so I guess I didn't really like after all.

Yeah, I thought it was cheesy myself. I mean really.....texting a marriage proposal??
I still can't grasp the whole "designed for humans" slogan. Who or what else would it be designed for....spider monkeys? Just doesn't make sense imo. lol

I've seen a couple versions of this commercial. Every time it comes on I make everyone watch it! Haha

I hate the entire S3 ad/marketing campaign. But, maybe I'm not the demographic they are trying to reach.
