As we have read, JB fixes the patent issue of pinch to zoom. As for looking anything near an iphone, then you have to be blind or an Isheep to think that. The quicker this gets overturned the better. Show Apple for what they are.

The truth here is Samsung has sold out of S3's and Apple know more is coming and are trying to stop this. Not happening, feel sorry for you yanks. our European. court has stated if Samsung has to pay a fine for losing this case in America, then Apple will be fined the same amount for already losing this case in four European countries.

Its not about the money for Apple, it's about point scoring and blocking competition. They want the whole pie, but they will just end up with the crust, like their pc sales.

Good point. I found out recently that Apple has given up their enterprise server market (which powered Pixar-type things) to focus on their mobile market. This market segment, as we all know, is more of a fan boy thing so Apple is on thin ice if their patents are invalidated, despite what their stock looks like.

Apple has made a bad strategic move and the patent wars are to cover it up, according to my friends still in the IT industry.

Apple goes after Galaxy S3, Note in new court filing

Fresh off its recent patent triumph over Samsung in a Northern California court, Apple files an amended complaint with the same court in a separate case, adding Samsung's flagship Galaxy S3 smartphone to the mix.

In the amended complaint filed today, Apple says "infringing Samsung products include the at least 21 new smartphones, media players, and tablets that Samsung has released beginning in August 2011 and continuing through August 2012" and it lists the Galaxy S3, the Galaxy S3 -- Verizon, and the Galaxy Note smartphones, as well as the Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet, among the other products.
Apple would no doubt like to put the kibosh on the Galaxy S3, which has enjoyed brisk sales and has, according to analysts, helped increase Samsung's lead over Apple in the two companies' smartphone sales competition. The Note seems to be doing OK too, if numbers released by Samsung are any indication.

I'm not u understanding how Sammy is winning in other courts but losing in this ONE? I could see if they were losing globally but they aren't. I smell a rat. I'm no techie and I'm no legal analyst but IMO something ain't right, that's my 2 cents, I'll step off my soap box now.

You have to remember the case was filed in a CA court which is in the heart of Silicon Valley (the home of Apple). Could you expect any other verdict in this case but one against SAMSUNG (a Korean Company). The fact that SAMSUNG makes a better product had no bering on the jury in this case from CA (which in Illinois we often refer to as the Land of Fruits and Nuts). I hope I did not offend anyone by that last statement.
