Reboot the phone. If you get the same problem, look to see if the messaging app has been deactivated.![]()

Tried rebooting. No joy. The app hasn't been disabled. Just got hubby to text me (from next to me lol), and it's not coming through.

I don't! Was only a couple at the start of the list. That must have something to do with it though, was working fine before that. Argh!!! Do you know what I can do?
It keeps flashing to tell me I have messages..... oh dear! Did I break my new phone?
Doubt you broke it. You can go into Settings, Apps, All and scroll to the bottom of the list. You should see your disabled apps there. Re-enable them one by one, while checking your messaging app, to see which one you need to get your functionality back.

If that is the stock messaging app it is easier to go to the Market and install Handcent or GoSMS. They are tons better.
Or re-enable the stock one.
