    MicroSD card issue..

So I have tried two different 16gb micro sd cards (one previously from my DX) and the S3 randomly says the card has become removed. That it has generated an error. I have formatted both with the panasonic sd formatter and even with no data, there are issues. Anyone else been experiencing this?

And to top it off (got the phone yesterday), had to call VZW to activate it and they couldn't apply my UNLIMITED data... WTF?????????? I'm on 2gb plan until they correct the issue. Oh, and a third thing.. haha

I pre-ordered the blue early June. Called 3 weeks ago switched to white. Guess what came in the mail yesterday? BLUE.

Are you sticking it in super far? because it goes in a lot further than you think you should.

My old 16 gigabyte from the droid x works fine.

The SanDisk 16G "class 2" card out of my Droid X works ok. The only thing that I wasn't able to do was complete the MyBackupPro restoration of the Applications & media. The GS3 doesn't see the file made by the X.
I guess I could try backing up on line and doing it that way but what I really wanted was the application "data" that was saved from different apps (ie gas mileage records, grocery store lists ect.. )

I think you have to be rooted to get that info though? All I'm going to get is the .apk's anyway right? Anybody confirm that?
If that's the truth I'll just go ahead without it and install what apps I what manually and start over for now...

Going to go get a better card anyway..

I would hang on to that app data in case the dev of MyBackup Pro can fix it. Have you emailed them about your situation?

No not yet Ollie. Was thinking about backing up online and giving that a shot too. I will hang on to it because I'm going to get another card anyway.

ETA: By the way, do I have to be rooted to get the data w/ the app? (my personal collected data that accumulated from using it?)

Format the card again, from within the phone, power the phone off, pull and reinsert the card, see if it happens again. If it does, try another card and see if you get the same error. If so, assume the phone should go back for replacement.

Yes, you must have root. Unless the Dev of the app integrates with Mybackup. Then it can be stored in the cloud.

When I tap the bottom of the phone with a little force I get "SD card unexpectedly removed". I've reseated this thing a bunch too

Took back case off and flicked sd card area, instant unexpected removal error.
