-Open up My Files.
-Navigate to /sdcard/dcim/camera.
-Long press a file and select copy or move.
-It will revert to /mnt
-Select extSdCard.
-Then press Done (top right hand side) or press the + sign to create a new folder.
I would suggest a different file manager (EsExplorer, solid explorer, astro, etc) from the Market. They offer multi-selections which can speed up the process for moving more than one file at a time.
Also, to make the external sdcard the default save location you can toggle it inside of the camera's settings.

Great. Thanks Ollie. Iv just moved an mp4 across but it also stayed in the original place so i had the mp4 in 2 places. So i deleted the one from the phone but the copy that had gone onto the microsd card has disappeared!! So ive now completely lost it.

Just checking/ FYI there are 2 mount point on your Phone
the /mnt/sdcard the internal card whats left after the system stuff
and /mnt/extSdCard your real external SDcard
Iv just transfered a film over from my pc to my phone and its stored it in 2 locations, the sd card and the extsdcard. Again ive tried to delete the copy that went to sdcard but both copies have been deleted. It appears that i cant have it stored in the extsdcard only and its either 2 copies in different locations or no copies which defeats the purpose of having an extsd card. All i want to do is have all my films on the extsd card only.
When you copy it over from the PC which folder are you putting it in on the /mnt/extsdcard ? When it shows up in the /mnt/sdcard which folder is it being placed in? Long press on the file in /mnt/sdcard and select details. Does it show the file having the same size as the one on the external sdcard?
You can also try rebooting your phone after the transfer to let the media scanner kick in again.
Sorry but ive been a numpty. They arent being stored in on the sd card, only the extsd card. I was getting confused by the sight of the films being displayed when i go into video player which ive realised isnt anythibg to do with storage.
No worries! I scratch my head in regards to myself often lol.

Hi, Can anyone please help me.
Whenever i moved my videos saved on my phone's internal memory to external card, they do not play. However they played when in internal memory.
When I remove the card and connect it to the computer, they play on the computer.
Please advise.
Regards
The device offers the ability to enable mass storage capabilities, which allows for the quick transfer or copying of files include photos and videos. When you connect your phone to your computer to complete a transfer, the original file remains on the computer while a copy is saved to your device.
