    Battery use-"device idle"?

My phone sometimes loses 40 % of battery overnight and shows me the above message .
At home connected via wireless to Mweb ADSL.
    GPS off
    Sound off
    Any ideas folks?

Wifes phone also lost 40% last night but shows News24 took 42% of her battery....

If the phone is searching for WiFi or Bluetooth, it will use more battery. Any reason you can't turn it off?

Is this a new occurrence or a common thing? Could be a failing battery if it's happening frequently .

Wi fi is strong thru the house. BT switched off.
Happens maybe once a week only.

It's recommended that it's booted daily. Try that for a few days and see if you get the battery drain.

Notice now when plugging in charger that my screen has used 72% of battery in the last 9 hours.
Screen is set to 0 and automatic.

You don't have to turn out off for ten minutes ... Just press restart and be done with it ☺.

I do it every morning after updating my apps in Play store. It has become a ritual over the years and I practically never (knock on wood) have any troubles with my phones.
