Sound problems when playing in car

Thanks for the link fur-man! I've had this app so long I forgot it was a paid app.
I'm sure their are some nice free ones in the Play Store, but some apps are just worth paying for to help out the developer. I like the features this one has, like automatically deleting your downloaded podcasts after you've listened to them. Which is a big help since each podcast I download is just over 40mb, of which I download 4 a day.... that really adds up over time. So not having to manually go in and delete them helps.

I've just been having a play with it, and for £2 it seems perfect. Will be interesting to see what happens when I try it in the car tomorrow.

If this is only happening with the s3 and the iphone was fine then its clearly to do with the s3 rather than apps or where the download came from.

Well. It didn't work. The same podcasts still only play out of one speaker. Very annoying. Still a great app though.

I said it before and I will say it again. Most likely come on the problem is because the recording was done improperly. The reason why you are only hearing it out of one speaker is because the phone sees a stereo recording and won't downmix to a mono output.

Are there any other audio files that you've tried that play on only one speaker? Do you get the same results with headphones?

As FBM mentioned, it is more than likely an upload and/or recording issue from the poster of that particular podcast. Especially since the other two podcasts you download are playing fine, it seems highly unlikely it would be a hardware or software related issue with your GS3.
I guess your next step would be to shoot an email to the producer of said podcast and explain your problem. They may very well be uploading it as mono instead of stereo and not even know it. (Good idea regarding the headphone question. It'll be interesting to see if it stays the same.)

I'll try with headphones. Great idea! The thing is, one of the ones that doesn't work is from Radio 1, so I'd expect that to work, and like I said, they worked fine on my iphone.

Ok. How stupid am I? Discovered I just didn't have the cable plugged in properly. I am such an idiot sometimes :lol:
