Tried it again with s voice open and it still doesnt work. What do you need to do to the settings? I ticked the box that says show body of message.Ok some more info.
The driving mode will only read out who the message is from If it's in your contacts.
And it does that in-consistently as far as I can tell.
If however you have S-Voice open it will read the body of the message out. this is in fact an option in s-voice settings.

All I can tell is the following.
With Driving Mode on - AND - New Message checked in language options - it will read out the details of who sends the message but NOT the content.
Then - Fire up S-Voice. Check the settings and ensure that read message details option is checked. Press the back button so S-Voice runs in the background (check it's running with a long press of home)
Send another text to your phone and tube S-voice lady kindly reads out your message (well, she does her best)
I think driving mode trips over with some events. I haven't heard it read out schedule info yet for example.

Ive got it to work once but not working again, not even getting the name/number of the sender read out. I think there are some software issues with my handset as there are other issues such as black screen and the number of processes running in background settings constantly defaulting back to standard limit after i have set it to no background processes. Totally annoying
I have driving mode turned off but my S3 sent out an automatic 'I'm driving' text message when I received a phone call while driving. Where is this feature set?
