Change default voice dialer?

I haven't been able to find anything on this with a search, so I'm hoping someone might have an answer.

I have a Rocketfish bluetooth speakerphone in my car. When I press the button on the device to make a call, it automatically brings up something called Google Voice Dialer, which looks like this:



Apart from the voice itself, which is harsh ("SPEAK NOW!"), it usually gets the command wrong -- if it hears it at all. I'd really like to use the Google Now voice search, which is more accurate and less obnoxious-sounding, but I can't figure out how to make it the default. Any suggestions?

Try to clear the defaults for google services framework in Application manager.... I know it is one of those you will have to clear just can't remember precisely which one...

Thanks, Miller. Turns out there are no defaults to clear in Google Services Framework. I cleared the Google Search defaults, but still get the same voice dialer.

Do you have the Voice Dialer in that application manager?? I know on my JB I don't but if you are on ICS it may have it still....

Ok now I am at a lose...I see what you are talking about I just connected my BT and when I hit the button it defaults to S Voice... No settings to clear defaults in S VOICE or BT launcher..... I will have to dig into this one.

Ok here we go.... I got it to launch the Google Now by default but it doesn't "listen" through my BT headset it still defaults to the MIC on the phone but here are the steps I took....

First I had to Freeze S Voice
Download Bluetooth Launch from the Play Store
In that app go to Google Search and select it.
About 6 lines down (on mine) go to com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox.voicesearc hactivity select that...
Back out of the app to exit


Now again it will launch the Google now search aspect but mine isn't working through the BT MIC... Can someone else try this with theirs and see if they can verify...?

Nope, I don't see it. I'm running the latest Synergy JB release (r118).

I'd be grateful for anything you can find out!

Well, it works when I press the speaker button in the phone dialer. I won't be able to check if it works with my BT speaker until I head home tonight.

I am actually really disappointed that I can't talk into my BT headset and have it listen... Must be this thing is just to old... It's a jabra 250. Used to be top of the line but now it's really not seeming all that great....

It worked! I just tried using the BT speaker, and it brought up Google Voice. Thank you!

Have you tried using Vlingo Virtual Assistant with your BT? Works great.
