airplane mode enables automatically

Hi, I am new to this site and a fairly new owner of the S3, this is my first Samsung and have been having difficulty getting used to the switch from the Motorola Droid to the Galaxy. One problem I am having is that the Airplane mode will automatically enable itself. At first I thought it was only happening when I had no service which is common in my middle of nowhere town but have realized it is just a random thing that is beginning to happen more and more frequently. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Sorry, can't say I've ever heard of that one. Hopefully someone can suggest a fix for you aside from doing a factory reset.

Ive Been havin the same problem, try going into wireless settings and changing the network from LTE/CDMA to just CDMA and then reboot your phone. It's helped my phone a little bit it seems.. Alot of people seem to be having trouble with signal strenght and such like this. Uhm... I even factory reset my phone and i still have the issue sometimes, but this seemed to help a bit.. it hasnt been doin in as much, atleast after i let the phone start up for a min, at first it does it.. All i got yo, Hope they find a legit fix, Maybe take it to a store and explain the problem, i got mine a few months ago and i think its total bs that i payed 200 bucks fer this and its not working right already.

BTW: I have no idea if its a total fix so even if it works ide still take it to a store. my phone also restarts like crazy.

Definitely not normal and sounds like a hardware issue if a factory reset didn't fix things. I would take it back and ask for a replacement.

Digging up the dead here:
I just found this thread trying to find an answer to this same problem. My phone automatically goes into airplane mode and most of the time its right after ending a phone call. Did anyone ever have anymore luck fixing this?
