S3 not receiving pictures from I phone users

Does anybody know what could be causing my phone not to receive picture messages from anybody with an iPhone? They can receive mine but I don't get theirs. I use handcent for my text messaging. Phone is just stock rooted. Any help is appreciated!!

When I get a MMS message from iphone users, if they include a caption with the picture, then the message comes thru as a slide show...The first half of the slide show is a black screen with the caption, and then the picture shows up in the second half of the message.

Maybe that's what's happening to you. Kinda sucks, but I don't think there's any way around it...

I know what you mean I've seen that before. But now I just don't get anything at all. It's like a message was never sent

Have you gone into your Handcent settings and checked out the viewing options there? There's a setting in GoSMS where you can check the box that says "use default picture viewer". Just wondering if perhaps you have a setting like that as well in Handcent?

Are you on wifi or 3G/4G? When I'm on wifi I won't get pictures from anybody until I put the phone back on the data connection.
I assume you are on the data connection, just checking all bases.

It happens either on Wi-Fi or network. At my house the phone automatically connects to my Wi-Fi but it had happened both at home and on the go

Try going into Handcent setting, to receive message and check auto download. See if that fixes your problem.

Auto download was already checked. I'm on the verge of getting rid of handcent altogether
