Streaming question

I never did get the pictures to show up. I got another problem though...
When I take a video with the S3 and try to play it on the tv via the network, it doesn't play correctly. It keeps stopping and starting like it's buffering or something and it says in the corner of the tv screen "preparing to play" but it only shows about a second of video at a time; give me that message on the screen then play another second of video and so on. That's ridiculous that the video taken from a Samsung phone and won't play correctly on a Samsung tv that's not even a year old and is setup for Internet, networking & wireless!

Well I don't think there are any TVs that are on a cellular network. This is obviously a home network..... My phones, PCs, Zoom tablet & my Samsung TV

You said stream from -- so you're doing a WiFi Direct transfer to the TV from the phone or are you using a service? As in, are you transferring directly from the phone to the TV or are you routing it through a 3rd party?

File sharing through my home network.
I can share from my phone to the tv or I can browse the media on my phone from the tv. Both act the same. Other vids work fine but mp4 from the S3 or 3gp taken with my old Droid X do not want to play.

Just thought id throw this out there.....
Have you tried converting one of the videos to another format and then see if it'll stream? I know that kind of defeats the purpose, but since that's a known issue with viewing these file types on a pc, i can't help but wonder if that's somehow related. It'd be worth a try just to be able to cross that off the list.

If I were to do anything else at all I'd transfer them to my network media tank... aka my Popcorn Hour device and watch them that way..... and yes that most certainly does defeat the purpose.
