How to get rid of SGS3 speaking "folder is open", "folder is closed"?

I have created folders (net, location, system,...) to the 1st desktop window where I have organized related categorized shortcuts to programs.

When I open the folder, SGS3 (tts) says aloud "folder is open". And "folder is closed" it says when closed.

Where in the settings this can be turned off?

I think this happens if you have installed Lighflow for LED notifications. even I have the same problem. my talkback in accessibility is also off. I disabled Lighflow and do not have this issue anymore. Not sure what the relation between these two is.

I did not have talkback enabled, but did also have Lightflow Lite. Disabling that removed the talking. Weird behavior, have to report to Light Flow author.

It's one I'm familiar with. I raised this on google's bug tracker at the end of last year as similar happens on the galaxy nexus. See here: Issue 23105 - android - Wrong accessibility service running in ICS when user selects another service - Android - An Open Handset Alliance Project - Google Project Hosting

It's not just lightflow that causes it. Try pretty much any app that uses accessibility (llama, tasker etc) as soon as you switch accessibility on, it starts happening. I'd love to be able to fix it, I've spent hours trying just about everything I can think of to resolve this issue.

I too was bothered by this, because I knew that I did not have Talkback enabled. I have Lightflow Lite installed, but had unclicked Enable from within the Lightflow App. But then I noticed under Settings\Accessiblity that Lightflow Lite service was still running, once I switched that off the Folder Open and Close notifications disappeared.

On a separate but related note, has anyone gotten Lightflow Lite to work effectively on Galaxy S III? For me it seemed to just light a random color LED constantly, despite having set several colors and flash patterns in the notifications settings of the app. I have hence disabled it and am wondering did I do something wrong or should I just uninstall it?

Apparently the color settings are wrong. Someone posted the color chart somewhere.

Other than the talking when using a folder it works fine on my 9300.

I got it to stop doing it by going to Settings>Accessibility>Power Toggles and turning it to "off." That's all it took to do the trick for me.
