Transfering old apps to new phone???

Hi all,
I might be asking a stupid question here but i thought id give it a shot.

I recently upgraded from s1 to s3. over the nearly 2 years of having my s1 i had collected a heap of apps i didnt want to lose.

is there a way to transfer these apps to my new phone (with or without hacks) or are they lost due to android versions and locked files??

really would hate to have to pay for the apps again.

Welcome to the forum!
You won't have to repurchase any apps you've bought over the years as the Play store will remember them once you log in.
Not sure if they'll transfer over as long as you have them saved to your external sd card, since i reformatted mine and started from scratch. Hopefully someone else can help you out there.

- Root your S1
- Use Titanium to backup all apps/games data NOT system apps.
- Titanium Folder will be ceated.
- Copy that folder and transfer to your S3.
- Launch Titanium from S3 (S3 need to be rooted) and restore all apps/games.
- You will get back all the apps/games data of 100 level of angry birds..etc.

Hope other have some work around.

thanx astrix not sure i want to root just yet i also discovered i have 2 accounts with google play apparently the first was made with a spelling mistake >.>
I have restored all that i want atm now that i'm willing.

This is what I did, plugged my old phone into my computer, opened the drive that the phone was in, searched for "APK" put them in a folder on my desktop. Plugged in my new phone and copied the folder to that phone. Used my files to find them and installed from there.

I know it's tidious, or u can go to Google store, go to "my apps", slide over to all and install them that way (being u do t want to root) (that's what I did)

with that you will definetly get your apps back, but no data for the apps.

rooted with titanium backup as mentioned above by Astrix you will get your apps and all your data like say, all your 3 stars for angry birds and whatever else And even more, get the pro version of titanium backup and you can re-install hundreds of apps with one tap of the screen!
