    play store problem

I have Galaxy S-3 international I-9300 running on the CyanogenMod 9.1.0-I9300. I downloaded the play store from a thread located on this site at download site #2. The play store briefly flashes and does not open play store. I tried redownloading and reinstalling the play store.

Hello stan and welcome to the forum!
I'm afraid I'm still stock and am not up on the different roms out there. We have plenty of knowledgeable folks here also with the I9300 version, so hang tight and someone should be around shortly to assist you.

    Re: play store problem

I'm rooted and stock on Verizon. I updated to the latest Play Store manually. It was working fine for a day or 2 then just yesterday when attempting to update an app I got error 491. What fixed it for me was uninstalling the Play Store updates and clearing the cache and data for both the Play Store and download manager. I could then get back in and update apps. Just checked and I'm now back to the Play Store version I had before manually updating. Not sure this would solve your problem but thought I'd share my experience.

Usually there are separate flashable Gapps folders for CM or AOKP roms..... I would look where you downloaded the ROM and see if they offer such a thing.... I am not sure if they include these separately because they are different than the stock .APK's or not.... Also depending on which post you downloaded from it may just be an update and not the actual .APK itself.....

+1. Cm is ICS so make sure you get the ICS gapps not jb. Flash in recovery. Ususally this is done right after a cm rom flash before reboot. If flashing gapps doesn't work, then delete data and cache and try re flash rom and then gapps.

After flashing gapps after the 2nd download of the Cyanogen*9.1.0-I9300, gapps finally worked. I must have gotten a bad file on my first download.
