Location Services / which to check, which to not?

Not sure what the differences are between VZW (or whatever network) Location Services and Google Location Services. I understand "Standalone GPS services" is for the navigation app or any "where am I?" apps.

My confusion I guess is this... what I want is for my weather app to update per location (ie when I leave home and drive to work or another spot) but I don't want to over do the "big brother" is watching you if I don't have too.

Not really clear about the differences between the two. (VZW (or whatever network) Location Services and Google Location Services)

So what does everybody else enable for there apps/services that they want to run and work without going overboard? Thanks for any help/suggestions.

I enable them all but I don't wear tinfoil hat either.

Pretty much depends on what level of detail you want with your GPS location and what you're willing to give up to Verizon and Google to get a accurate location.

Cool, thanks. Any additional major battery drain from the other 2? I know the GPS option will so I keep that one off unless I'm using navigation/speedometer type apps.

You can just leave them on toggling your GPS like normal. Truth be told GPS is not the battery hog it used to be is really not that much of a difference anymore
