Time to root Deja! This way you can accept the updates YOU want. Im rooted stock right now and couldn't be happier with this device. Once JB drops officially I'll slap a rom on this puppy. :thumbup:

You know IN A WAY.... Verizon is rather smart in always waiting until the last minute to release updates.... It's HUGE PR and sponsor dollars for them.... All the VZW hashtags and traffic to their site of people looking for updates on their machine..... The more buzz created the more money they make from their and other sites....

There is a thread on this... Some say there is a maximum number per cycle you can check for updates others say that it is a flaw with the phone and it has to be reflashed by Samsung as it is an error in the firmware from them..... I am rooted and don't want the updates until JB hits so its not an issue for me so I haven't done much research on it....

HMMM. maximum number doesnt sound real only because my other androids in the past, I checked all the time with out any problem... what can i do about this? does that mean that my phone is broken??

Are you checking over Wifi or do you have a cellular connection? You need to check on the cell network.
