Deleting a line from Verizon

As im sitting here at work talking to a coworker about this and since i cant chat or talk to verizon at this time of night i figured id try with you all!

Me and my wife we not due for upgrades till feb 2013, so when the S3 came out i added a line and moved my current # to the new S3 and gave the new # to the droid x. I had planned on canceling a line in Feb but if the new line # is on the droid x that dosent expire till 2014 how can i still cancel a line and keep the current number that i on the S3 which is the number to get the discount again in feb 2013? i know it sounds confusing so bare with me haha

Well in other forums im reading that your number is basically connected to your contract! Anyone know anyways around this to get rid of a line but keep the same number i have that is due for upgrade in Feb 2013

You can upgrade your line when your upgrade comes up. You can get rid of the new line any time. You just have to pay an early termination fee.

Or do what o just did and have it transfered to a non smartphone. But I feel your pain brother.. thank the lord I kept my old envy2.
