Syncing Excel and Word files

Is there an easy way to sync MS Office (Excel, Word) files to the Galaxy S3. I just received mine, and have the phone sync'ed to Outlook, but I also need to carry my latest Excel and Word files with me. I used to use Dataviz' Documents to Go, and now have that installed on the S3. But it will not connect to my computer, and I've since discovered that Dataviz do not support the S3 (they claim some differences in the Android setup or????) Is it possible to set up automatic syncing of Excel and Word files to the Galaxy S3. Any help muchly appreciated!!

You could look into using Dropbox and the app Dropsync. It allows for 2-way syncing.

Send yourself an email with the file included as an attachment, opening the email/attachment with your GS3 automatically installs the file in Documents to Go. Are you using the free version, the paid version works flawlessly with my GS3.

I use Kingsoft Office, save the files to my Dropbox folder, and can open/edit them from my work and home laptops, my S3, and my tablet.

Thanks for the replies and suggestions! Maybe a bit more info is needed, I have about 5-6,000 Excel and Word files in My Documents and subfolders on my computer, and I need to access maybe 10 to 100 different files from different folders in any one day, never the same files depending on the client I'm accessing at the time. So I need to sync the entire My Documents folder and subfolders with my Samsung GS3, preferable keeping the same file structure to facilitate searches. Thanks again for your replies and help!

I just finished talking with a Galaxy S3 CS rep, and he seemed baffled by this problem. All he could offer was "have you tried Google Migration?" ... which is not a fix or work-around for this problem.

I have been forced to utilize "Goodle Drive" as the source location for my working files. This is extremely inconvenient since access via my phone or laptop burns up data time - and Verizon seems to hold this bandwidth VALUABLE (and a resource for their income stream).

If anyone knows of a solution other than using the CLOUD, please let me know! If only Samsung would allow the use of Windows Explorer's Briefcase folders within their operating system, all would be well in the world!

I'm confused. So you want to sync a folder full of office files between your phone and PC? Clearly drop box or something similar would work but I used how it would be easier to just specify any folder for sync.

Have you successfully done this on another phone? If so how did you do it?

I use GoodSync to do what you want between my pc & external drives, I've no idea whether it will work with an SGS3 but can't see why not, got to be worth a try anyway
