Grainy pics in low light condition

I have used Galaxys1 in same low light condition(indoor ) and the pics are excellent but s3 in the same low light condition(indoor ) is so grainy but looks stunning outside, grainy pics are so poor it just cannot be a 8mp camera.. anyelse here has noticed this ? Same with flash on/off all iso settings are at auto

I was experimenting the other night and took some pictures in total darkness (Indoors) with the flash set to auto. The pictures came out great with really good color. Not grainy that I could tell.

I just tried it in low light. Pics were perfect. Go to your phone icon enter *#0*# Select Mega Cam and take a photo then select front cam and do the same. Both should look perfect

I've tried this several times. Every time I press either Mega cam or Front cam, my screen goes black (with just the status bar showing) and then I get a popup that says "Unfortunately, Lcdtest has stopped."

Hello guys.
I tried this and the picture is great when i chose mega cam, but then i go out of this testing sit i go to normal camera and take the same picture under same conditins and it is much worse that this one taken while doin the test.
Any toughts on that? maybe some bad setting?

I've always used a third party camera app. The camera in this phone is much nicer than the camera on the dx. I use camera zoom fx. It works great! The flash works great in low light!
