    S3 and its Fragile Screen?

Hey, I have noticed a decrease in broken screen posts. Is this because most folks are using a case of some sort? I'm just curious.

Also for the Note holders: Did the Note have this same issue with the screen breaking so easy? I'm wondering if it was a size issue and the Note is bigger than the S3, so figured if it was size, the Note would have seen this as well.
Or maybe this is just the different top glass that was used?

    Thanks for any input.

Having had the S2, Note, and now the S3 it seems that the size of the screen is the issue.

The S2 drop tests were amazing. Rarely did the screen break. The Note drop test was very much like the S3 drop test...broken screens.

The S2 and the Note have the same glass yet the S2 was less prone to breakage. I used a rubber Incipio case on the S2 and dropped it a lot. It is the nature of my job. It never broke. I had the Note wrapped up in a Zenus leather wallet case just to make sure when it hit the deck it was well protected.

Running without a real case with the S3 is asking for it.

Thanks for the input. I was thinking it was due to the increased size but was not sure.

    Did they hit pavement?

I'm really starting to get concerned about these screens and wondering what a recall would be like?

I can't see them doing a recall on a dropped S3. Now if there were an internal defect then sure. It is glass. Probably thinner than their previous versions which means it isn't as drop friendly.
