I love car home ultra! Have been using it daily for over a year now! Once it is set up it is great!I've been messing with car home ultra. I have a tectile sticker that opens it. When that app opens it turns on my blue tooth and asks if I want to turn gps on. Still need to play with it more but I'm liking it so far. My only issue is with the GS3 getting confused when I have my aux jack hooked up too. Then my phone doesn't know which to use..... Blue tooth or headphones.
looks quite similar to the shape i made a home dock for my DX!!!
my car mount kits came with round sticky discs made for the suction cup, i screwed them in place to the dash then silicon-ed over the hole so it was air tight...
That would work great for my truck. Which mount kit are you using? I assumed the suction mounts simply had to attach to a smooth surface, and I don't have any of those in my truck. Do most of the suction kits come with discs like yours?
I basically want something that looks like this and attaches how you describe.
i have two discs, one came with my tomtom car mount and one came with my droid X car mount.
did a quick google search for the disk itself.... car mount sticky discs

multiple optiond come up. search more, maybee youll find something even better!!!
just make sure when you secure it it is flat and solid! any warping in the disk and im sure the suction wont hold!
This looks like the winner for me and I thank you for posting it up. Alas I have one dilemma ... (isn't there always a dilemma ;-) ... the center vents on my truck are vertical. The attachment on this mount looks like it's somewhat gravity dependent. Do you think that's the case, or would it mount and stay mounted if mounted on vent-fins that are vertical?I've gone through several car mounts for various phones over the last few years. Thus far, this one has been my favorite: Amazon.com: USA GEAR In-Car Auto AirVent Mount for Samsung Galaxy S III , II / Exhilarate / Focus 2 / Brightside / Galaxy Ace 2 / Captivate Glide / Nexus 4G / Skyrocket / Epic Touch & More **Includes Cleaning Kit: Cell Phones & Accessories
I got it originally for the Galaxy Nexus but it works just fine for the S3. I have a Camry also, and for me the vent clip mount works best. It was a little bit cumbersome getting the clips on correctly, but once I figured it out it fits nice and snug.
....... doesn't seem to shake much if at all using the vent clips. And, it's pretty cheap.
Thank you!

I always have purchased Proclip Car Mounts and Holders. They are very high quality. Once you have the mount specific to your car, you can screw the holder that is specific to your phone to the mount. If you get a new phone, the old mount can still be used. I have use the "fixed installation" version which is directly wired to my fuse box. I just ordered the replacement holder for my S3 to replace my D3 holder. I'll just unscrew the Droid3 holder from the existing mount and screw in the new S3 holder.
Sorry I missed this! I am fairly certain you can turn it for horizontal fins. I'll try to look that up for youThis looks like the winner for me and I thank you for posting it up. Edit: woops, I meant vertical. They clip very snugly with springs so you should be ok. And I confirmed that the clips themselves turn for horizontal and vertical. Just in case you have issues though, I'd buy from a place that takes returns![]()

I've been using my sisters dock from her Infuse and it works great... just a little difficult to get in and out. I'm going to check this one out... Verizon has them on their website for $39.99
