Double tap to wrap text in Browser

On my Droid X, using either the stock browser of Dolphin, I was able to double tap the screen after zooming in and it would have the text wrap in the screen so you didnt have to keep sliding the page back and forth. I can't seem to do that on the GS3. Am I missing something here?

i think Browser> Settings> Advanced> Auto-fit pages is what your looking for. Make sure that is checked.

I can't figure it out either, checking the auto fit does nothing...

My iPhone didn't do it which is one of the reasons I missed android to begin with

It is it . Auto fit pages made my phone auto fit text to the screen when double tapped . It did not work before that

Hey guys, check this link out. Not really a fix but a possible work around.

Browser that will wrap text after resizing - Android Forums

Thanks for that DeJavu. This helps a little. I still liked it better the way it use to be. Sometimes I wear glasses, and sometimes not. So it was nice to pinch zoom to the size you want, then double tap and the text would wrap.

One other thing I have found kind of works if you can use Dolphin HD. Like someone else here (don't remember who) mentioned, Dolphin Mini has become extremely slow. So I thought I would try Dolphin HD. It seems to be better optimized for the new Android software as it seems to transition as quick as the stock browser.
Anyways, I looked in the add-ons and there is one for fonts (text sizer). I added that and it also helps.
When I'm looking at a website, I slide over to the add on screen, then hit the "text sizer" button, then I just go up one from where it is.
That will zoom the screen up pretty nice for me. The down side is I will have to do that when I change screens too. (don't forget to check the option in the Dolphin menu to "fit to screen" for this to work.

Hopefully we can get a dev. to "fix" this for us in an upcomig rom or something.

Been using Chrome on my s3 lately and their are a lot of things the stock browser just does better imo. For one.. .. the issue we're discussing.. ..the words don't wrap around when you double tap or try to zoom into a page. You can't set a home page for it to open up to when starting the browser, no flash support.
Other than that its nice. Stock browser does just fine for me, for as little as I use it.

    tap'n
