Can the S3 Replace an iPod for Use in the Car?

How well does the Galaxy S3 work as an mp3 player in the car with the aux jack? That's where I usually listen to my iPod. Is the sound quality good enough to replace my iPod Classic that's on its last legs? I'm planning to get an S3 on Monday (October 1) and I'd rather not buy both a new phone AND a new iPod if I don't have to, and knowing if I can load all my tunes on it and use it in the car will help me decide between the 16GB and 32GB version of the S3.

I use my s3 in my car thru the headphone jack and into my aux input in my head unit. The MP3s sound good as long as they are not low quality recordings. I also listen to radio IO and it sounds pretty good. That being said I do have an old iPod installed thru an iPod jack

It works great! I use an FM transmitter in my car since its ancient sounds pretty good most times. Other times its really staticy I just change the station and all is well. I have though plugged the s3 to the aux port at work and it sounds great! Also have plugged it into my home theatre system and wow! Makes cleaning house fun!

I also use Google music. Download the manager onto your computer and it will sync all your iTunes music and any others in your computer. Then make sure you have the Google music app installed on your phone then just stream your music from the cloud to any of your android devices. Love it!

PS I do have unlimited data with Verizon so I try to stream and use data as much as possible!
