Audio how to?

Does anyone know how to get all audio to go through the headphones? I use couch to 5k app and the voice cues don't go through my headphones but the rest of the gym can hear it. Also does this with any other kind of notification. They all go through the phone but not the headphones. Also, (forgot this until just now while at the gym). When I start sweating the earphones short out and keeps lowering my volume to zero. Nothing I do will let me raise the volume. No problem without the earphones nor the first fifteen minutes into the workout, but as soon as I start sweating.. .no volume

Is there something wrong with your headphones? Or maybe the Jack? My phone makes no noises with headphones plugged in.

Make sure its plugged in all the way. I know I have to make sure its plugged all the way!

I've pushed in as far as it will go and they are the ones that came with the phone. I'll try another pair tonight. Guess I should have already tried that! Sometimes the simple things escape me. Thanks.. .will update

Also, I put tape over the headphone controls today and they didn't short out when I started sweating.

Hmmm....I've been using the stock headphones while working out and haven't had a shorting out problem. Actually I was shocked the first time I used them to work out. I was soaked and they were just fine! Wet but fine!

I probably got a dud pair . I had the same problem when I had the iPod shuffle that had the same kind of earphones and they shorted out all the time to.
