Kies issue

hi all, newbie here

just got my s3 a few days ago, been on it constantly messing about with stuff

i downloaded Kies onto my pc, found some apps and hit " sync ".........videos, pics and music all sync ok but the apps arent coming onto the phone, any ideas people ?????????

also i got this news ticker at the bottom of my screen.......where the hell did it come from and how do i get rid of it ????

yeah i got google account setup but it still wont transfer apps to the phone

Nevermind you mean the one on the lockscreen? You can disable that in the settings/security/lockscreen options/newsticker
