Want to see a ballistic HC series case for the GS3?

i had always had otterbox cases for previous phones, but pretty much based upon the original posts to this thread bought a ballistic case for my new S3 in august (otterbox cases weren't available at that time either). i have to tell you i was somewhat disappointed by the case and bought an otterbox case recently to see the differences. the otterbox case is much better made and in my opinion much mor sturdy that the ballistic case i originally bought. while the "cradle" portion of each seems to be pretty much equal, that's about it. the actual otterbox case is much better made and seems to me to be sturdier and the belt clip on the otterbox is secured to the backing much better and it allows for locking in the "open" position to form a tripod so the phone can be viewed landscape sitting up on it's own (the ballistic case clip on my case will not lock open at all). to me there is no comparison. the otterbox case seems more durable and stronger and has better features. for what it's worth, they are pretty much comparable in price also (if you look around and don't pay retail for either of them). just my 2 cents worth

The other ballistic cases are cheap. The HC Series will out perform any otterbox case, hands down.... I know from experience!

Well, it's a good thing we have such a wide variety to choose from....there's something out there for everyone!
I use a nice thin rubber case I bought in the Verizon store, works perfectly for my needs.

I used to use the nice and sleek thin cases too - but then my line of work changed, and the heavy duty protection was an absolute MUST. When you work as a heavy duty diesel mechanic, you need all the protection you can get for your device I've tried many many many cases that claim to be equal to the otterbox defender or ballistic HC - the best by far has been the ballistic HC - for my needs that is... My old atrix 4g survived a 60 ft drop onto concrete because of the ballistic HC case. Thats what really sold me on it. yeah, they are bulky, and I know most ppl dont like the bulk. I gladly accept the bulk for the piece of mind though
