Same here. I drop my phone way too often not to protect it with a case.

Same with me. Case is a no-question-about-it-gotta-get-one.
Edit: answered 2 different threads in one place....doh! Moved end of this post over to screen protector thread.

I am really impressed with the Case-Mate Tough case that I bought. It sure as hell wasn't cheap ($35) but it is EXACTLY what I was looking for.
I wanted something that was going to be descent protection but not too huge. I feel safe with this case and it has a fantastic feel to it with the ribbing along the sides and back.
The one vid that I found is a GS2 case but you can get an idea of the feel and protection. Just thought I would throw that out there.. as I'm super pleased.
$35 is of course quite a few shekels to fork over for a case. But once I did the math it didn't seem so bad. 365 x 2 ÷ $35 = pennys to protect my $600 gadget for 2 years.
Like my fuzzy math?
I usually don't use cases on my phone, but I had heard the backplate scratches very easily. I have a problem when my phone doesn't fit comfortably in my pocket so I ended up getting a rubberized case just to protect the back: Samsung Galaxy S3 Rubberized Cover - Black
I'll most likely start looking for one that's more protective for when I take my phone to the beach, etc!
I got me the 2 year protection plan from Best Buy so if it drops on me and breaks, it'll be covered. But I also bought the commuter Otterbox case for when I'm outdoors so the camera and back won't scratch.

Defintely with a case. I did not spend $200 buck for a broken screen :] I just bought an otterbox defender
I always use a case for resale value when I trade up

With my Droid X I stopped using a case because it was a pain to mount the phone on the car dock. I grew to like the naked feel of the phone. With the GS3, I like the looks of the phone as is -- I don't want to hide that Pebble Blue inside a case. I'd consider some kind of clear case/protector/whatever if I could find one that I liked (if it even exists).
Right now I am using a generic car dock solution, so adding a case isn't going to matter a lot in the car.
