Bummer! Are you using the stock launcher? If so, you might give Apex or Nova a try and see if it works on one of those.

I saw on the product reviews on Amazon that somebody was having my same problem and they ended up having to return it. So I did that and the new one is working fine. Must have been a factory defect. Anyway, thanks for the help and all is working fine now.

I ended up switching to the Otterbox Commuter so I could use the dock, and am happy with both. I found a belt holster made for the Galaxy Note that works perfectly with the S3 in the Commuter case... and I'm all-around happy.

Now to sell the Defender case used, and I'm set.

I ordered the Seidio CONVERT and will be returning it; while I didn't take precise measurements, to the eye it is every bit as large as the Otterbox Defender, which iBolt has already said would not fit the new charging dock.

After looking for ANY combination case+holster which is not too bulky to fit, I've resigned myself to get a case without a holster, with a separate belt pouch planned for daily carry of the S3. I considered all of the 'usual suspects,' but have decided to go with the Otterbox Commuter, since (a) I've been very happy with the quality and protection of Otterbox products and (b) it is one model that is known to fit the new iBolt dock.

Hope this information will help someone else...

Hello gang: Just assimilated into the Android world (for better or worse) and I wanted to add my two cents...

I ordered and just returned the iBolt. I have a Ballistic Maxx case, so I knew from reading up on the subject that it probably wouldn't fit. But I am handy with tools and entertained thoughts of modifying it, but I passed after looking at the dock. I really wanted this to work, but I rather like the protection that my case gives me.

The insert idea is great and should be taken to the next level for the the larger phone and cases that seem popular these days. The commuter case for me was too slippery and doesn't come with a belt clip that tend use everyday. Oh well, the search continues ...

Been noticing a buzzing when listening to music. Seems to be cable or dock related because a straight connection using my own audio cable doesn't duplicate the same problem
